Mongia National Volleyball Academy (MNVA) is a registered society (NGO) having its registered office at Mongia House, Netaji Chowk, Bhandaridih, Dis.-Giridih-815301, Jharkhand of which the main objective is to provide professional sports training and education through its academic to deserving students / underprivileged children with scholarship to organize, conduct, promote and manage workshop and training program with focus on sports, fitness and nutrition and coordinate and encourage all the activities in connection with volleyball in India and abroad.
Mongia National Volleyball Academy (MNVA) has also unique credentials of being registered by Government of India's NITI (National Institution for Transforming India) Aayog as the only Sports Academy from Jharkhand State as well as licensed with Trademark branding by the Govt. of India.
The idea to create the academy was born while Dr. Gunwant Singh Mongia(CMD of Mongia Steel) was watching the Tokyo Olympic Games 2021 on television and realized that Indian Volleyball Team could not even qualify to participate in Olympic Games; Without any effort, only dreaming that Indian Volleyball team is winning a medal at Olympics is merely a fantasy. Now, with immense effort of the Mongia Group, that idea has been converted into reality in the form of establishment of MNVA in the district of Giridih. As the Academy is of National status, hence, the area of operation is whole India. The academy is equipped with Hostel, Gym, Playing Courts, Smart Class, Food Court and Kitchen. MNVA has the honour to have a panel of eminent sports persons of International and National repute and we are having an International Level 2 Coach at the academy who is training 30 students from 6 different states.
To begin with, MNVA will focus activities from our core state of Jharkhand and, thereon, gradually move to other parts of the country and these potential units will be facilitated with volleyball equipment, coaching programmes, exposure, knowledge packages and unit representatives with local resource persons in Volleyball will be prioritized.
